The search at the bottom of the bag
Searching for keys while holding a laptop can quickly become annoying. Put your everyday items on a table before choosing a bag. The useful question is where each item will go, not how much the bag can hold in theory.
Capacity and fit are not the same
Litres describe volume, while a laptop compartment has its own shape and measurements. Bellroy lists laptop storage separately from other bag features. Compare your device, including its sleeve if you use one, with the stated limits rather than relying only on screen size.
Imagine the bag when it is full
Look at which pockets remain accessible once the main compartment is packed. If you can try it, carry a realistic load and check straps and closures. We have not tested weight distribution or comfort, so treat those as questions for your own comparison.
Leave space for an ordinary day
Choose enough room for your regular items and a little flexibility, without filling every pocket simply because it exists. Check the exact fabric and care instructions. A bag that makes small things easy to find may help more than a larger model with another compartment.
